Priyanka to star opposite Salman Khan in Bharat

After months of speculation around the leading lady of Salman Khan’s new film Bharat, it is now confirmed that Priyanka Chopra has bagged the coveted role. Bharat it is! said the Quantico actress in a statement. With Bharat, Priyanka returns to Bollywood after a hiatus of two years. She was last seen in Prakash Jha’s Jai Gangaajal, where she played a police officer.
“Bharat is a subtle and mature love story, and Priyanka stands shoulder to shoulder with Salman in his journey. Her character is the soul of the film,” says director Ali Abbas Zafar.
