Priyanka Chopra receives Padma Shri
Priyanka Chopra has added yet another feather to her much decorated cap. On April 12, the actress was conferred with India’s fourth highest civilian Indian honor, the Padma Shri award, at a glittering function at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. She wore her badge of honor, pinned to the left side of her yellow floral jamdhani weave sari, for almost the entire day, flaunting it proudly.
“I can’t explain in words what emotions I’m going through. I think I am living my dream. Being a defense daughter, this honor is even more special for me,” said Priyanka, who flew down for a day to receive the award from President Pranab Mukherjee. She is currently busy shooting for her American TV show Quantico in Canada, and also for the movie Baywatch.
