From August 27 to 29 a grand celebration was held. Mandir pravesh was celebrated in the presence of Hari Krushna Maharaj, H.D.H. Bapji, H.H. Swamishri, fellow saints and more than 500 SMVS followers and volunteers. H.D.H Bapji and H.H Swamishri explained different parts of the vachnamrut, a holy book of the Swaminarayan sect.
The final day on Sunday, August 29 began with chanting, aahvan mantra and darshan. The murti, or sacred image, installation included maha yagna and janmangal yagna. H.D.H Bapji performed the puja to all the murtis and blessed all followers. Pu.Swamishri taught how to make maharaj happy and how to become a nearest and dearest of Lord Swaminarayan. An annakut ceremony with 150 food items was held from noon to 4pm.
During the three days, thousands of visitors and SMVS followers learned about such topics as shunning bad habits: drugs, wine, tobacco, lust, etc.; understanding God’s supremacy; faith and belief within the satsang; and unity of family members and followers. H.D.H Bapji blessed all of the visitors, donors, workers, followers and prayed for them to have aalok and parlok. An atmosphere of peace pervaded the three day celebration, and all are looking forward to inauguration day on September 29, 2010.

Swaminarayan Mandir Vasna Sanstha (SMVS) is happy to
announce that it has obtained 2.5 acres in Atlanta on which a new temple has
been built. The land and construction cost was donated by Mr. Ramesh Suagiya,
