“Ratnana parpancha” included anecdotes from the life and works of the famous Kannada writer, the late G.P. Rajarathnam, as well as some of his most popular songs and the comedy “Kambliseve” scripted by Prof. Laxmi Chandrashekar and Sundar Raj. Others in the cast were Ramakrishna Kannarpadi and Gajanana Naik.
“Heegaadre Hege” presented humorous episodes from the lives of the elderly couple, Sarsamma and Mylarayya, played by Laxmi Chandrashekar and Sundar Raj.
During the interval, photos were projected from previous dance performances of NKK children. After thanks from secretary Veena Krishnaswamy and the executive committee, dinner was enjoyed by all.

On May 15th members of Nrupathunga Kannada Koota
gathered at the Hindu Temple of Atlanta, in Riverdale to see well known theatre
and television artists, Professor Laxmi Chandrashekar and her troupe from
Kriyative Theatre, Bengaloru. After an invocation, national anthem, and welcome
speech by president Pradeep Vittalmurthy, two comedies were enjoyed over 2 ½
hours by the large Kannadiga community who had gathered from various parts of
Atlanta. “Ratnana parpancha” included anecdotes from the life and works of the famous Kannada writer, the late G.P.
