Champion Kathakars draw thousands to Shakti Mandir
Shree Shakti Mandir has a tradition of celebrating their Patotsava with week-long religious discourses and this year hosted Bhaishree Rameshbhai Oza and Sri Morari Bapu.
From June 6 to 13, Oza gave discourses on Shrimad Bhagwat at Sumant Center, speaking in the evening between 5:30 and 9. During these discourses, devotees participated with great joy in celebration of Ram Janma, Krishna Janma, Govardhan Utsava and Rukshamani Vivah. On average, 2,500 people listened to the discourses and enjoyed Mahaprasad thereafter.
Bhikhubhai Patel, a trustee of Ambaji USA, served as chairman and Bhavinbhai Patel as vice-chairman of Shrimad Bhagwat.
A week later, from June 20 to 28, Ambaji USA hosted Ram Katha discourses by Bapu. More than 3,000 people attended the discourses, held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with Mahaprasad afterward.
During both discourses, Ambaji USA’s volunteers greeted devotees entering Sumant Center and later directed them to the food area, with senior citizens receiving preferential treatment. The management team of Shri Ambaji USA was able to recruit enough volunteers to organize not one but two major discourses, which attracted hundreds of out-of-town devotees.
