Ahmadiyya Muslim Community GA: Peachtree Road Race
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Georgia to Participate in Peachtree Road Race
Plans to support the runners and to demonstrate patriotism on July 4th
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Georgia plans to set up a stall at Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th, to support the runners and to show our patriotism, as we have done for the past several years.
Our children and adults will be present to support the runners and to demonstrate our love and loyalty to our Homeland on Independence Day. According to Islamic teachings, love of one's country is a part of faith.
This year the race falls within the month of Ramadan and many of our members will be fasting, while they provide water bottles and candy to the runners. Members will also hand out patriotic paraphernalia including mini-flags, visors and balloons.
The stall is open to everyone.
